Syntegra RP privacy policy
Syntegra RP is a resource-planning application for manufacturing businesses. It is a business tool, not a consumer social app. This policy explains what information the app handles and how we treat it.
AI
We use AI tools to develop Syntegra RP. The app also has an assistant, SAi, built in. It answers questions about the system and can run a limited set of actions such as opening a screen or finding a record. When you type or speak to SAi, that text (and the audio, for voice) is sent to a language-model provider, currently OpenAI, to be transcribed and understood. If the app is offline, SAi only searches the help text on the device. Nothing is sent unless you use the assistant. We do not use AI features for advertising.
Who this covers
Syntegra RP is provided to companies (our customers). Each customer controls the business records entered by its staff — customers, vendors, inventory, quotes, orders, and similar operational data. We host and process that information so the product can work.
Information the app uses
Depending on how a customer configures and uses Syntegra RP, the app may process:
- Account details. Email address and password for sign-in, plus optional PIN if the customer enables it. Names, roles, and permissions for users the customer creates.
- Business records. Inventory, quotes, invoices, sales orders, purchase orders, bills, customers, vendors, users, audit history, and related documents.
- Files and media. Photos, PDFs, spreadsheets, or other files a user attaches or imports. If a feature is used, the app may access the camera, microphone, or device files.
- Device and diagnostics. App version, connectivity, and optional error or diagnostic logs used to keep the product working.
The Android app requests network access so it can sign in and sync. Additional device permissions are requested only if a feature needs them.
How we use it
- Authenticate users and enforce the customer’s roles and permissions.
- Store, sync, and display the customer’s business records.
- Support offline use with a local copy of data on the device.
- Generate documents such as quotes, invoices, and packing slips.
- Diagnose problems when logs or error reports are sent.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use the app for advertising.
Where data is stored
Sign-in and cloud data are stored with our hosting providers, currently Supabase and PowerSync. A local copy can also be kept on the device so the app works offline and then syncs when a network is available.
Sharing
We share information only as needed to operate the product:
- Infrastructure. Hosting, authentication, and sync providers that process data on our instructions.
- Customer-connected systems. If a customer connects accounting software such as QuickBooks, the data they choose to sync is sent to that system.
- SAi assistant. When a user types or speaks to SAi, that text or audio is sent to the language-model provider to be transcribed and answered.
- Email. If a user sends a document or message from the app, the contents go through the email path the customer has configured.
- Legal requests. If we are required by law to disclose information.
Other users in the same customer organization can see records their role allows. We do not share one customer’s data with another customer.
Retention
We keep customer data while the customer’s account is active and as needed for backups, security, and legal obligations. When a customer ends service, we delete or return their data according to that agreement. Users should ask their administrator for access, correction, or deletion of business records.
Security
Access requires an account. Data in transit uses encrypted connections. Access inside the app is limited by the roles the customer assigns. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
Children
Syntegra RP is for business use and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your choices
You can stop using the app and ask your administrator to disable your account. To request access, correction, or deletion of personal information we hold, email steve@iteration18.com. If you are in Canada, you may also have rights under applicable privacy law, including PIPEDA.
